TYO works in disadvantaged areas of the Middle East, enabling children, youth and parents to realize their potential as healthy, active and responsible family and community members. This work is governed by two main principles:
- respect for the value of childhood
- a holistic view of the individual, family and society
TYO pursues these principles through four areas of activity.
- Core Child Program
Non-formal education classes in art, English, health, IT, music and sports for children ages 4-8.
- Youth Service Learning
TYO trains local university students to support TYO teachers and provide positive role models for children.
- Family Involvement
A range of programs helps parents and siblings of TYO students to reach their individual potential and raise healthier and happier children.
- Community
Educational programs as well as cultural and recreational activities like Open Days and sporting events are open to all members of the local community.
