Video and Photo highlights from CGI 2011
To kick off the week, on Monday, September 19, 2011 a dynamic group of thought and action leaders gathered to discuss women and youth in the Middle East and the potential for scaling up TYO's multi-service model.
TYO thanks guests of honor Mrs. Cherie Blair and Ambassador Melanne Verveer who led a discussion after dinner on the role of women in the Middle East informed by the amazing work they doing as well as their experiences visiting and working with TYO in Nablus. We send our special thanks to TYO board members, Samia and Huda Farouki for hosting the discussions in style.
Wednesday was a particularly exciting day for TYO at CGI. Before the special session on the Middle East, President Clinton invited TYO Founder, Hani Masri, to provide an update on TYO's work, expansion, and concrete action that has come about in no small part from CGI. It was fantastic to share the platform with President Clinton and distinguished panelists from the region.

The last day of the meeting, highlighted the topic Women and Girls: Scaling What Works. Before the opening plenary session on Thursday morning, the following progress report on TYO's Fostering Women Entrepreneurs in Nablus (FWEN) project, originally a CGI commitment with the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women (CBFW), was shown to the audience.
