TYO Round-Up: Week of April 1, 2012

As students discard their books at the end of a grueling period of exams and skip their way merrily into the Spring break period, TYO looks at leadership, child protection in emergencies, racing the planet, a special trip for a FWEN program member, and heartfelt goodbyes to our Triple Exposure coordinator.

Sunday, April 1

TYO's Suhad recalls the terrors of the Second Intifada and issues a CALL TO ACTION for underscoring minimum standards for child protection in humanitarian emergencies.

Monday, April 2

This week, the students RACE THE PLANET, substituting their usual activities in art, sports, and drama for race-themed fun to familiarize them with Usama Malik's upcoming race on their behalf.
