Spring 2012 Volunteer Program
TYO's Volunteer Program mainly supports the youth in the community - the future parents and leaders of Nablus. The program's main objective is to give our volunteers an opportunity to build their capacity in working with children and in participating with the psychosocial aspect of TYO's programming. Our volunteers gain experience in working in their community as well as preparing them for their future careers.
According to a study done by the Palestinian Center Bureau of Statistics (PCBS), university students need more capacity building, they need to develop their life skills and practical experience while they are studying, and after their graduation, they need to meet the needs of the labor market.
TYO gives the youth the opportunity to be part of its programs, supporting its team and assisting in planning and implementing the activities for TYO's target populations. Our volunteers lead classes such as Homework Help or events outdoors, allowing them to develop their life skills and leadership skills.
Recruitment has started for the Spring 2012 session. We are looking to register around 80 volunteers, new and returning, to work with TYO's Programs. It's going to be a great session!
