Fostering Women Entrepreneurs in the Middle East- Lebanon

The Fostering Women Entrepreneurs in the Middle East Project (FWEME) began in 2010 with the objective to increase women’s participation in the labor force and promote economic empowerment by offering tailor-made programs and services to increase participants’ business and practical skills and self-confidence. TYO’s approach adapted participant’s traditional skills to design business plans that reflected international expertise and market research to ensure their competitiveness in the regional (and possibly global) market.

TYO and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Zahle and the Bekaa are offering business skills- based training and coaching/incubation for women-led micro, small and medium enterprises. Selected businesses have the chance to receive prestigious opportunities to travel outside of Lebanon, attend conferences and workshops and participate in expos locally and abroad to grow their business.
