“Hello! My name is Mustafa Ledawwi and I’m 17 years old. Ever since I can remember, I love Biology, and my dream is to become a doctor.

In my family, education is not really a priority for men. But my mom disagrees. She is my number one fan. She pushes us to be the best, and supports us to study hard and go after our dreams.

When I was young, I used to love learning about animals, humans and everything related to it. All the knowledge I get is from watching videos and googling any questions that come to my mind. I don’t need to study Biology like my classmates reading textbooks. Actually, this is something I enjoy doing in my free time, and I feel like I’m ahead of my classmates.

Still, I am studying very hard to achieve excellent grades in Tawjihi and my goal of studying Medicine. Even after that, I will continue to work hard, because my plan is to join the Military Academy in Jericho, so I can afford my studies.

None of it is easy. Especially with online learning. Although I can focus more, sometimes it was challenging because of the lagging internet. And what’s more, the current situation makes it even harder to focus with everything we see happening around us, what we hear, and what we feel.

But I’m not giving up. At TYO, I have found more tools to study better and cope with my emotions, and I feel more prepared to take the tests. With that and my mom’s support, I feel like I can achieve anything in life.”
